The Fresno County Grand Jury investigates local government agencies and releases reports and recommendations for improvements.
The Fresno County Chapter of the California Grand Jurors' Association was formed to support the Grand Jury and the following goals.
1. To educate and increase public awareness regarding the role of the Grand Jury system
2. To promote citizen participation
3. To provide promotional printed materials and activities
4. To assure the preservation of all Grand Jury reports and agency responses
5. To advocate publication of all Grand Jury reports and official responses
6. The purposes of the CGJA as part of its own purposes
